Amy Miller started writing and illustrating stories from a very young age. As she got older she began to focus on the art side of storytelling. Amy filled her high school schedule with art classes. Classes like Honors Art, where she created her own interactive booth for a community night and had her art displayed in a local gallery for several days.

Amy’s love for art led her to get a BFA in Entertainment Design - Animation at UW Stout. While studying at Stout, Amy reinforced her foundational skills as an artist while also learning the skills necessary to tell a compelling story through art. She did an internship with Southern Pine Electric where she created a coloring book for children and an animated safety video to accompany it.

After graduating from Stout, Amy landed a contract job as an illustrator for a children’s book. It was through this hands-on experience that she realized illustration was the field she wanted to pursue. Amy is currently working as a freelance Children’s Book Illustrator and loving it. She also does commission work, anything from pet portraits to entire murals. Amy continues to draw almost daily and looks for any opportunity to grow her skills as an artist.
